The Fortune of War

Drinkers have enjoyed the Fortune of War pub overlooking Brighton Beach since 1882. Climb the stairs and one finds a long dark narrow room with low ceiling, comfy benches and stools, almost reminiscent of being in a boat. A raised platform at the front gives a great sea view. Drinks such as lagers, Murphys, bottled energy drinks and spirits can be taken outdoors where a young crowd often gathers. By night people also flock inside so be sure to arrive early if a seat is required.
