Alchemy Restaurant & Bar

Alchemy Restaurant and Bar is a beautiful restaurant with a view of Story Bridge and Brisbane River from the glass windows. The interiors are done very carefully with antiques like Murano glass chandeliers which gives the restaurant a very elegant and captivating look. Whether for Private dining, corporate functions or parties, the restaurant is perfect for almost any occasion you can think of. Team their scrumptious delicacies with a range of beers, spirits and cocktails for that perfect meal.

Embassy Craft Beer Bar

There is plenty of room to sit down with your group and talk without having to yell, and plenty of space to relive your dancing days. A newly renovated marble interior greets you upon entry at The Embassy. For those who enjoy a casual gamble, take a peek downstairs at the gaming room, complete with an array of gaming machines and its own bar facilities. The bar is five-star with more than 100 kinds of bottles beers on offer along with 16 beers on tap. Wines, signature concoctions and hard liqueur drinks are also available. The extensive bar menu ensures that the most finicky of tastes are catered for. If not, nothing is too much to ask of the extremely friendly staff. Standard pub fare is available, with a few surprises like steaks and seafood platters.

Friday's

With the picturesque Story Bridge as a backdrop and positioned directly on the Brisbane River, Friday's has all aspects of a night out covered in one venue. The bar and grill are open from lunchtime everyday and the music goes till late. With two separate rooms, you can choose the latest dance grooves or check out some of Brisbane's premier live bands pumping out some rock classics. The large outdoor area makes it easy to have a conversation without losing your voice.

85 Miskin St

The brainchild of Chef Brent Farrell, 85 Miskin St works a modern spin on earthy Australian cuisine, which is featured on the menu alongside fragrant Australian wines. The restaurant is set up inside a large cottage in charming suburbia, where discerning epicurean enthusiasts walk in for a taste of Brent's most winning meals. A degustation menu is available, while the a la carte menu features Jamon Croquettes, the highly recommended slow-cooked egg, and the lamb belly, among others. Doubting Thomases will be happy to know that 85 Miskin St was awarded the One Hat award for the Good Food Guide in 2014-15.

Miel Container

Set in a cozy place, Miel Container is a great place to be headed to if you are in the mood to taste some quick American bites in the city. Located in the heart of Brisbane, the restaurant specializes in serving hearty burgers five days a week. You can choose between classic and inventive hamburgers like the Miel Beef Burger, Prawn Burger and the Miso Pork Belly Burger. Side orders like Onion Rings, Beer Battered Fries, Sweet Potato Chips or a glass of cola can be paired with your burger. You also get the option to choose ingredients of your choice and make a burger according to your tastes and preferences. Service here is quick, but the place is usually occupied by locals, so you may have to wait for your table. However, don't let this deter you from trying out this great restaurant. Head to the Miel Container and enjoy flavorsome American delights.

Lady Marmalade Cafe

The brioche sandwich with herb butter, mushrooms and goat cheese is the menu sweetheart that caught the attention of the press, but that is just a preview of all this cafe has to offer! Word has gotten out after seeing great reviews in the Courier Mail and Brisbane News, but Lady Mmm still manages to seem relaxed and chilled out. Be sure to try the Wagyu Beef Burger among other delights!
