Cathay Rendezvous

This impressive restaurant is frequented by celebrities (check out the many signed photos of visiting actors/footballers etc. on the walls) and mortals alike and offers Chinese food at its very best; a great choice if you're looking to dine in true style as it's housed in a rather grand Georgian building. The food is equally special. The menu covers three areas of China; Mandarin, Cantonese and Szechwan and specialties from each region include salted sea bass, braised lobster with spring onion and ginger, beef with Chinese leaves and fried dumplings Peking style; all beautifully presented. The set meals are quite a bargain; The Emperor Banquet and The Seafood Dinner are especially recommended. Look out for the Sunday Lunch buffet.
