Always busy and with a uniquely chilled-out but buzzing atmosphere, you will probably have to queue because Bristolians love it here, but it's worth it. When you finally get served, grab a seat in one of three areas - inside by the serving counter, upstairs in the terrace (complete with wonderfully deep sofas), or outside in the garden. Their sandwiches are renowned - bulging with delicious fillings such as humus and salad, nut pate, cheese and pickle etc. They also do hot food - wide ribbon pasta with fresh rocket and chilli sauce for example. There's a wide range of coffees (soya milk varieties are available for vegans) and teas and if you want a sweetness-overdose, try the hot chocolate!
