Located in the Wye Valley, the deciduous surroundings of the woodlands are a habitable area for these bats in terms of roosting and feeding concerns. This bat species is given national importance by the country and thus all measures are taken to breed them in safe surroundings. The stone built barn near the village of St. Briavels just happened to be one of those ideal surroundings!
