Villa Tugendhat

Constructed between the years 1928 to 1930 on the designs of the celebrated architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, this elegant residence was built for Fritz Tugendhat, a wealthy businessman who owned a host of textile-processing facilities in Brno. One of the finest examples of modern architecture from the time, every element of the villa, including the stylish furnishings, reflect the principles of minimalism and functionalism as envisioned by the architect. Villa Tugendhat sits amidst a well-pruned garden that complements the house's avant-garde designs with its immaculate lawns and vibrant flower beds. Listed as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, the property underwent meticulous restoration in 2012 and can be explored through guided tours.
