In spite of its name, this business is basically old-fashioned, as a picture behind the counter shows, the owner (now in his sixties) was a young man when he started the place. In those days, even TV's were modern. The interior has remained unchanged, part of the clientele give the impression they were also here on opening night. So the atmosphere is not really young and swinging. Just friendly and nice. Great place for a beer, and if you really have time to spare, you will gladly be included in the dreadfully long-winded discussions at the counter. But then again, that is also part of Belgian café culture.
