"Praise Of Folly"

The great Dutch scholar and humanist Desiderius Erasmus (The Praise of Folly) lived in Brussels for about five months in 1521. Almost by miracle, his house was not torn down and is now a museum, the Erasmushuis. Erasmus's house is now a museum that also houses a great collection of paintings by artists such as Jerom Bosch and Quinten Matsys.
