Canasta is a funky art studio promoting mainly new media by young artists, located in the leafy, quiet Colegiales, a hip little strip of shops, galleries, and cafes sandwiched between the expansive Palermo and Belgrano neighborhoods. Translating as basket, Canasta has somehow managed to streamline the eclectic passions of owner Juan Ignacio Moralejo and friends, bringing their off-beat taste in art, literature, artists’ books, and independent film to the masses.
