The community is in close proximity to the Daintree Rainforest, and the Arlington Reef section of The Great Barrier Reef is just 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) from its sandy shores. Open to swimmers through the year, the coastline comes with dedicated lifeguarded swim areas year round at Palm Cove and William's Esplanade seems to the favorite among tourists. The best place for fishing is the Palm Cove jetty, and visitors love to try their hand at catching dinner.
