"A Theater with a History"
The recently rejuvenated New Space Theater has a proud history in the city of Cape Town. It first opened its doors in 1972 and moved to its current location in 1976, where it shocked the nation by defying the Apartheid laws of the time by becoming a defiantly non-racial venue. Many of South Africa’s most prominent theater acts in the heyday of Apartheid took a stand against the establishment at the New Space Theater. After recent renovations the venue is again open, showcasing diverse talent from across the country with regularly changing shows. Perfect for an evening of local entertainment and great shows. -Bordeaux Martin
