It is worth remembering that at the Centro Lido, despite being a large and complex centre, it is easy to find your way around, although it is nice to get lost because everything is so refined. During the late 1990s, El Lido established the way forward for shopping centres geared towards a more select clientele. The few cheap shops that are here look somewhat out-of-place. A vast inner courtyard with marble flooring and a pianist welcome you to the complex. From here on you will find shops selling jewellery, perfume, electrical goods, books, clothes, shoes, video games, as well as a gym, and various high-class restaurants and cafés. The two towers are home to a multitude of offices as well as a hotel. Additionally, there are two cinemas in the basement, and a multi-level car park with a great number of spaces.
After the landmark US-style mall of El Sambil, Buenaventura Vista Place brings us a mall full of mini-shops. This new shopping center, which is still undergoing development, is built alongside its sister mall, the Centro Comercial Buenaventura, another shopping center. Both have been created to cater to the wealthy Guarenas-Guatire area. Apart from the mini-shops, the center has a cinema, family entertainment facilities, and eating areas spread over three separate air-conditioned levels. Indoor parking facilities are available.
Every day visitors to and residents of the capital visit this mall which caters for leisure activities as well as shopping. Crowds of people from Caracas, during the weekend in particular, go up the Altos Mirandinos via the Pan-American Highway. The aim is to walk, to enjoy the mountain climate, to buy fresh fruit and vegetables, crafts, and the many products on offer along the shopping center route between San Antonio de Los Altos and Carrizal. At the very end of this route, the huge Centro Comercial La Cascada can be found, which not only attracts shoppers but also tourists, due to its original construction, which combines elements of Spain's El Escorial and Arabic architecture. The center occupies a vast area; the main area has a waterfall, which gave the center its name. There is also a separate building for offices, plus a further building situated higher up at the back of the plot, where the Parque Tierra Increíble can also be found. There is an array of food options to choose from. You will also find lots of clothes, shoes, electronic equipment, hi-fis, videos, restaurants, banks, a radio station, and even second-hand motorbikes.

Although there can be continual traffic during the week owing to both the offices and the shops, weekends attract a great number of leisurely shoppers who come to seek out the restaurants, cinemas, casinos, fairs, children's activities, and other attractions. A four-star hotel also forms part of the complex.

It is quite possible that many of Caracas' inhabitants have never been to the Centro Plaza, but there are very few who have never mentioned it before, although this may only be to give directions. It is, to a certain extent, the traditional symbol of the area between Altamira and Los Palos Grandes. It is a tall and slender building, with five levels of shops, with the remaining 15 higher levels given over to offices. Electrical goods have a strong presence here, including audio and video equipment, there are also bargain holidays available, banks, health products, interior decor goods, and many other varied products. The complex also boasts a supermarket, theater and ample parking facilities.
