"Gatehouse to The Medieval Times"
Priory Gatehouse is the remnant fraction of a Benedictine priory in Monmouthshire, Wales. Dated 1135, it is perched beside the main entrance to the churchyard. Listed as Grade I in the Statutory List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest, the gatehouse is made up of two storeys with wide arches. The windows are styled in the 16th-Century fashion. Standing next to the South East Wales Ringing Centre, at the end of the Priory Street, this gatehouse adds a touch of history to this neighborhood alley.
