Covering an area of 663.3 acres (268 hectares), Stephen F. Austin State Park is nestled in Austin County in Texas. Located close to Brazos River, this wooded park was established in the year 1940. This park is named after Stephen F. Austin, the founder of Anglo Texas. Surrounded by hackberry, pecan and cottonwood trees, the state park is home to a number of wild animals and migratory birds.
