William Blacklock House


"College Events Venue"

The William Blacklock House is designated as a national historic landmark. The 18th century house created for Charleston's wealthy British merchants, has a wide hallway flanked by two rooms on each side. The interiors have intricate woodwork, cypress paneling and a vaulted ceiling. Acquired by the College of Charleston in 1971, the venue houses alumni services and administrative offices of the college. The Blacklock House is used as a venue for hosting wedding receptions, reunions and a variety of events.
