Located inside the magnificent Music Factory, the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre serves as a grand venue for concerts, theater and other cultural acts. The amphitheater can accommodate more than 2000 spectators and an elevated lawn seating arrangement has the capacity for an additional 3,000 to relax and enjoy the show. Built in 2009, this 'boutique amphitheater' has been host to more than 20 concerts in its opening year consisting of various national and international bands.
Formerly called the Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium and CMC-NorthEast Stadium, Intimidators Stadium changed its name in 2016. It is the turf of the Kannapolis Intimidators and has been a staple for baseball fans since 1995. The stadium features a huge picnic shelter, concession stands, a playground and a souvenir shop in its premises.
Comprising of the Irwin Belk Track and Stephen B. Smith Field, Richardson Stadium is a versatile sports stadium in Davidson College. It is the college's Wildcats women's lacrosse, football and, track and field ground. It is also the home of the annual Davidson freshman Cake Race. Established in the 1920s, it underwent a major renovation in 1998.
Originally opened in 1984 as Tom and Lib Philip Field, the Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium was re-established in 2007. It is the home ground of the Charlotte 49ers baseball team and is managed by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. A number of baseball tournaments are held at this venue.
