When this store opened in the 1980s, it already had years of experience behind it: that of the Campline, the pastry dynasty from Pescara. Fabrizio Camplone, son of Tullio, the founder, was not only born among pastries and biscuits, but has also taken prestigious courses as well as competed in international competitions and won top prizes. The professional, talented staff have produced delicacies bearing the exclusive brand name. Such as the Presentosa, a half-circle of chocolate filled with almonds, eggs and liquor inspired by the celebrated Abruzzo jewel that was given to women on their engagement to keep other suitors away. The wonders in the window are more than tempting.
This is a great place to take someone for a special treat. They serve cream cakes, chocolate cake, all kinds of pastries, Easter eggs and chocolates. If sweet is not your desire, have a tea or coffee, and if you are really hungry they also offer sandwiches. This place is near Parco de' Risis, close to Museo Ittico by the canal port.
The Birreria del Corso is just behind the centrally located Piazza Salotto. Despite its name, implying that it specializes on in beer, it is a restaurant with a very popular wood oven pizzeria.
This gelato parlor is in the center of town between Piazza Salotto and the sea. It is a historic place and competes with its rival Campione, just opposite, for the title of the best gelato in town. There are few in Pescara who have not tried the delicious gelato served here.
