"Colorful Historic Church"

Located in the former spa town of Ciechocinek, the St. Michael the Archangel Church is a colorful landmark and a popular tourist attraction with its rich history and unique Uralian architecture, hardly found anywhere else in Europe. Built in the late 19th Century, it originally functioned as a Russian Orthodox church and later was used as a warehouse and casino while its beautiful interiors were destroyed. Renovation and subsequent opening of the church took place in the late 20th Century and it today functions as a Polish Orthodox Military Church.
