Alejandro Rangel Hidalgo Museum was established in the early 2000's in the Nogueras region. The museum is divided into four parts that depict different aspects of the life of the famous artist Alejandro Rangel Hidalgo. The first room is dedicated to his works as a designer, the second to his paintings and the other two to his collection of prehispanic ceramics. The museum is unique and interesting and is definitely worth a visit.

The ancient city of La Campana was said to be one of the most vital cities of its time. It was strategically built between two rivers, with close proximity to the Pacific Ocean. The city was an administrative hub. Excavation findings include a designated complexes for religious and commercial purpose. The city had planned drainage systems that were used to discharge rain water. Sculptures of the wind god and rain god have along with petroglyph have also been discovered.

El Chanal is believed to one of the largest archaeological zones found in the city of Colima. The site consists of ballgame courts, plazas, ceremonial areas, pyramids and altars. The excavated findings that include clay figurines depict pre-Hispanic art of the region.
