It was created in 1897 CE, making it one of the oldest clubs in the vicinity. It is located near the River Elbow and enjoys much adulation from its patrons.

Located in the northwestern part of the city, surrounded by a serene environment, this club is far from the chaos of the city center, and yet, not too far to make traveling hectic. Spread over 80.9 hectares (200 acres), the club boasts an 18-hole golf course, designed by Bill Newis, which has been the venue of prominent golf tournaments like the Canadian Mid-Amateur Championship.
Situated in the serene river valley of Fish Creek Park, the Blue Devil Golf Club is a lush 18-hole public golf course with plenty of rolling fairways and challenging greens, a clubhouse, and a golf shop. If the 18 holes are a bit too many for a day of playing, the course also offers the Lil' Devil 9-hole short course, a replica of the main course on a smaller scale. The club hosts several leagues for men and women, and also summer golf camps for children and their families.
Located just a few minutes south of Calgary, Heritage Pointe Golf and Country Club is ranked in the Top 25 golf courses in the country. This beautiful course is open to the public but follows the "country club for a day" approach to service. Golfers are pampered from the time they enter the parking lot. Players are sent out over two of the three nines, with 18 holes winding through the Pine Creek coulee and another nine built up top the 'Desert Nine'. This is Calgary's most pricey public course, but few golfers mind it as it is totally worth it.
Situated in a small valley near the Bow River, and nearly built into the rugged foothills of the Rocky Mountains, The Links of GlenEagles is a challenging 18-hole golf course surrounded by natural beauty. The resident golf club has won many annual awards for the organization of its public championship tournaments, and has elegant dining rooms that are sometimes used for private events. Lessons, including those from the GlenEagles Junior Golf Academy, are available for golfers of all ages and levels.
