One of the main attractions of upscale Aclimação, this park is frequented mostly by locals. Encompassing 115,000 square meters (1237849.68 square feet), Parque da Aclimação is a popular recreational spot where you will almost always catch a game of football going on. Bird-watchers also flock here to observe the green parakeets that call Parque da Aclimação home. The park also has a lake where one can spot ducks, swans and herons.
Established in 1929, Parque da Água Branca is one of the city's most popular open spaces. Officially known as Parque Fernando Costa as a tribute to former Secretary of Agriculture, Dr. Fernando Costa, who was instrumental in its creation, the park has retained much of its original character from the days when it was used for animal husbandry and agriculture.
