Onyx Bar

Want to make your coffee Irish? Then walk into Onyx Bar. Located on the sixth floor of the beautiful Haashaus, the bar is a trendy place to chat over drinks. The lounge is plush with awesome views from the windows. There are many options and the wait staff is pretty accommodating. The crowd is elite but not stand-offish. Group reservations are a must, since preference is given to hotel guests.

These days its cafe is full of tourists, thanks to the famous Sacher chocolate cake. Anna Sacher Restaurant

Named after the Grand Dame of the famous Austrian Sacher family, the decor is late 19th to early 20th Century in style and the restaurant is adorned with Anton Faistauer paintings creating a dreamy backdrop. The restaurant features light and easy foods for those who are conscious of what they eat serving up international cuisine, as well as local Viennese foods. Cafe Landtmann

The Landtmann is an elegant café, which opened its doors for the locals right back in 1873. The traditional, yet charming Viennese café is the bustling center of the city’s social and political scene, attracting many a notable personality of the city. Hotel Altstadt Vienna

First opened in 1991, the Altstadt Hotel proved itself a hit rather swiftly. Centrally set in a beautiful patrician house just west of the Museumsquartier and very close to Mariahilferstrasse, it has great decor with a mixture of new designer lighting and bold colored walls, as well as some nice old-fashioned features. The rooms are very spacious, have polished parquet floors and high ceilings, and a handful overlook a peaceful courtyard. The breakfast buffet is superb and the service excellent.
