A favorite local stop since 1952, this bakery, less than a mile outside Waikiki, is famous for its malasadas. These pastries are a local favorite, similar to doughnuts only without the holes. They're best eaten hot, leaden when cold. Another specialty is pao doce (Portuguese sweet bread). Danish pastries, cookies, breads and specialty wedding and birthday cakes are also available. This is take out only; there is no place to sit. Parking is available.

La Mariana Sailing Club is an authentic local Tiki bar tucked away near the airport at Keehi Lagoon. Founded in 1957, La Mariana is the only original Tiki bar left in Honolulu and has a lot of decor from old famous Tkiki bars like Don The Beachcomber's Koa Wood Tables as well as fun island decor like cheesy shell chandeliers. Enjoy a Mai Tai and some Hawaiian cuisine while listening to live music and feel like you've stepped back in time to the relaxed pace of the 1950s.
