Man on the Moon is a flagship pub in Kyoto, Japan. It was founded in 2008 and is always crowded! In fact, the staff recommends that patrons attempt to reach before 9p if they would like seating for the night. The bar has seven kinds of beer on tap and many more in bottles. It is best known for its collection of Japanese whiskeys like Suntory's Yamazaki’s Single Malt. If that sounds a little too strong for you, the bar also serves a range of cocktails.
There is one reason why Hub has become one of the most popular bars in Kyoto. Many foreign residents in Kyoto frequent this place, which, although it advertises itself as a British-style pub has the feel of an American bar with its large number of TVs showing pop music. That said, important soccer matches are shown on the big screen and a sizable number of people are expected to be in attendance during the 2002 World Cup. Upstairs in the small room you will find the table football, pool and darts. The pub seats 130.
