This eatery became "one of the places to be seen" when it was opened a few years ago by a small group of people who had previously run one of the most famous nightclubs in the city. It is spacious and has a garden overlooking the sea. Although it is a pizzeria, the menu is actually more varied with Mediterranean dishes serving meat and fish. An English journalist who visited this restaurant said that he had never eaten such good monkfish. So now you can be sure that you are going to be served with some of the best dishes and that too at quite a low price. This place also has a varied and good wine list.
This is one of the city's marvels, a temple of gastronomy, a monument, a point of reference: it would be a sin not to eat here if you are in Trieste. The atmosphere is refined, the service praiseworthy. Inside, there is seating for more than 100, and more in the garden. The cuisine is central European with local and modern influences. The food is cooked with the use of fresh, local ingredients and plated with utmost thoughtfulness. The wine list offers everything and prices are reasonable.
