Shamrock Irish Pub, as the name suggests, is an Irish pub that guarantees you the 'craic.' Located in the historic center of Dresden, this pub takes the Irish theme very seriously, with its walls painted green and emerald lights reflecting on their wooden furniture. If this is too green for you, you can take a seat by their beer garden and soak in the sun while enjoying a pint of Guinness. The food includes Irish specialties such as stew, fish and chips, cottage pies and apple crumble. Its Living Room replicates the setting of the drawing room of a house, complete with sofa sets, wall cabinets, a television set, air conditioner and center table. This room is bathed in a soft and warm glow and the intention is to make patrons feel at home while they relish pastries, coffee and cocktails. This bi-level bar is a hip hangout and is known for its Happy Hours and free Sunday concerts, also known as Sunday Matinée. Some of the artists who have played here include The Black Atlantic, Bernhard Eder, Leif and the Future, Emaline Delapaix and Sea of Love. Thursdays are Ladies Nights where women can get as much as 30 percent discounts on chilled cocktails.
