The lounge has an Asian theme, which is appropriate since Karaoke was invented in Japan.
Well, this place says a lot about Portland, or perhaps, sings a lot! Suki's Bar & Grill is not only one of the few karaoke bars for revelers in the city, it is 'the' place to go to if you know you sound bad and your friends still love you. Expect drunk people dancing and having a great time in their own right during Happy Hour. This is definitely not a place for a sit-down dinner and conversation after dark, although the weekend brunch menu is quite popular. Bathroom singers are welcome by all means.
Ambassador Restaurant and Karaoke Lounge is a casual Hollywood District restaurant and bar featuring great Chinese food at budget prices. The menu is diverse with an excellent selection of spicy Szechuan and Cantonese entrees. Shrimp lovers should try the Yuzi Shrimp or the Shrimp Lover's Delight. Hunan cooking is also featured extensively on the menu. The decor may exude a 1970s feel, but the atmosphere is current and lively. The dark, comfortable lounge is a popular retreat, with food available until closing time. Order a beverage or two from the full bar, join the rowdy crowd for nightly karaoke, or reserve a spot for large parties.
