The sister store and next-door neighbor of the Curiosity Shop, this shop deals in jewelry and a few upscale accessories. Chains, pendants, rings, bracelets and more, ranging from delicate to showy, are displayed in glass cases. A large selection of Fossil watches and sunglasses are on display towards the back. Although you may not guess it upon looking around, this shop proudly carries colored contact lenses - more of a cosmetic item than anything else; ask to see what crazy patterns and colors are currently available.
This exclusive boutique is housed in the Original Colombian. A wide selection of Gucci accessories is showcased. You'll see handbags, sunglasses, watches, belts and more. Men's ties are displayed under glass, as are women's shoes. All of the merchandise is of the best quality and the highest fashion, each with a jaw-dropping price tag. The sales staff is polite, if a bit cool. They seem to take their jobs quite seriously.
Although this used to be an antique shop, it now carries all manner of merchandise. Chinese eggs, ceramics, copper music boxes, and intricate candles are just a few of the items for sale. The front counters display 14-karat gold and sterling silver jewelry. Stunning laser foil wall hangings with iridescent colours on a black setting that depict everything from King Tut to marine fantasies. The motto of the store is "something different." Indeed, if you're looking for an unusual item that is different than anything you've seen in the Bahamas, this is the place to visit. On Sundays, the shop opens at 10a.
This is probably the most impressive and the most expensive store on Grand Bahama Island. It offers jewelry, accessories, fragrances and sundries by all of the world's most prestigious brand names. You'll find diamonds and emeralds, Versace and Fendi, leather and gold, all of the symbols of the good life. The layout of the store can be confusing, but it all soon becomes clear. Four stores are housed under one roof. While most brands simply occupy their own counter within the Original Colombian, Gucci, Cartier and Le Parisiens actually have special status as individual retailers.
This Bahamian owned and operated store sells fine costume jewelry and eel skin leather goods. Brands such as Monet and Christian Dior are featured. Most of the eel skin items are small: wallets, watchbands, lipstick holders, and so forth. Silk scarves, designer handbags, silver calculators and other unique gift items are also available. As the name would suggest, this store is a good place to look for any sort of unusual accessory.
