The main stadium offers a recently refitted athletics track, which is open to the public seven days a week. It is only closed when open-air concerts and major sports meets are being held. Formerly the Taipei Basketball Stadium, the now famous Taipei Arena is one of the biggest sporting spectacles in the city. A local hot-spot for ice hockey, athletics, badminton, tennis, handball and many other sporting events. Thanks to its great acoustic sound, and great lighting facilities the venue is also used for cultural events, concerts and other similar gatherings. The mainstay of the arena is the Olympic Ice Rink, that holds a maximum seating capacity of 1,500 on match days. Beitou Sports Center has been run by Taipei City YMCA on behalf of the government since 2004. The sports center houses several facilities including a pool, play room, dance studio, tennis court and fitness center. It is the first in Taiwan to have an indoor rock-climbing facility with several routes for people of all ages and skill. This center is not only child-friendly but also challenged-friendly as elevators accessible for physically challenged people are available.
Banqiao Stadium is a multi- purpose stadium located in Panchiao. The venue is mainly used for football matches and is available for concerts and other events. Inaugurated in 1987, the stadium has a total capacity of 30,000.
