Set in 150 acres of beautiful parkland, this challenging 6400 yard par 72 course will test all golfers. The course was designed by the celebrated J H Taylor, five times Open Champion, who said in his original report that the subsoil was ideal and that "you can play 365 days a year in your slippers!" Samuel Ryder - donor of the famous Ryder Cup, who was captain of the club in 1929/30 officially opened the present course in April 1928. Today the club enjoys a membership of over 500 golf devotees for whom it provides an impressive clubhouse, bar, shop, full range of refreshments and equipment hire. Offering a highly recommended, 6100 yard, par 71, 18-hole course, Stratford Oaks Golf Club lies in a beautiful stretch of lush greenery. The club also offers a 26 bay, floodlit driving range, a pro shop and club and trolley hire. It is a good idea to stop by here if you love golfing by night.
The Warwick Golf Centre is a challenging 9-hole, par-34 course that is better suited to the more experienced player. There is no advanced booking facility; simply turn up and wait you turn. Tuition and club hire is not provided here, echoing the fact that this is a great course for those who know what's what. There is also a 24 bay driving range available for those wanting to polish up their shots before taking to the green. Play is available during daylight hours every day except during race meetings.
