Established in 1926 as one of the premier cinemas in the United States, the Tampa Theatre now serves as a national landmark. In addition to showcasing movies and musicals, this venue also hosts events and stunning wedding receptions. This theater's interior boasts a number of Mediterranean-inspired accents and features a collection of antiques and statues. This historic theater has 1446 seats total, spread out over two levels.
Come aboard this 61-year old merchant ship and experience its history of past service to the US during WWII and both the Korean and Vietnam wars. Take your time on the self-guided tour of the nine decks and get a bird's eye view of the areas where the crew worked and lived. The ship is available for private and corporate events or it can be booked for small group tours. Also, a six hour cruise event can be arranged which includes breakfast, lunch, tours and a fly-over. Make reservations ahead of time to ensure your spot.
Fort DeSoto Park is comprised of over 1,100 acres (445.15 hectares) and five interconnecting islands. The park was used as a military post until 1922 and you will see the original gunnery, plus the reconstructed buildings of the era, including historical photographs and memorabilia when touring the fort. Enjoy miles of white sandy beach, fishing piers, hiking trails, canoeing, picnic areas and camping facilities. There are restaurants, snack bars and public restrooms for your convenience.
