Renovated and reopened in 2002, the Teatro Liceo is the most historic theater in Salamanca. The renovation maintains traces of the 19th century theater, which was built over the ruins of the ruins of the nunnery of St. Anthony from the 18th century. The theater hosts classic and contemporary productions as well as dance, opera, and music.
Located inside the University of Salamanca, Teatro Juan de Enzina is a small theater that hosts cultural performances of the university. It is named after the renowned poet Juan del Enzina. The theater has 380 seats and wonderful acoustics. There is a small rehearsal room as well. Dance performances and live music gigs are also organized here.
