They have an impressive range of collection of written literature in many languages including English. These include rare editions, classics, children's section, educational, novels, fiction, non-fiction, audios and videos. Stroll through their neatly arranged rows and chances are you might find a gem of a book that you won't want to part with.
The largest book store in Moscow, it is conveniently located next to Lubianka metro station. It is nevertheless never too crowded to let yourself get carried away in browsing. In general, books in Russia are still priced very cheaply by comparison to Western standards. While you are sure to find all Russian bestsellers in Biblio-Globus, they also have a good selection of books in foreign languages and a separate section with vocabularies. The children's books selection is great, ranging from plastic books to textbooks. The prices are known to be twenty to fifty percent lower than in the street book stalls or in other book stores. Respublica is a large bookstore in downtown Moscow where you can find any book you've been looking for. This mammoth store has two floors with books by Russian and foreign authors as well as books on art, architecture, cooking, painting along with albums and DVDs. Respublica is the equivalent of Barnes and Noble of New York and is a great hangout in itself. There is a cafe and theater on the second floor where there are frequent book readings and signings by authors. You can also catch a movie at the theater situated in the second floor.
