Set in a historic building that dates back to 1887, the Metropolitan Museum of Monterrey was opened in 1995. The museum comprises of two permanent exhibitions housing hundreds of objects and artifacts. There are also rooms that play host to temporary exhibitions. There is also an auditorium and a courtyard on-site from where events like theatrical performances, dances, live music events and even lectures and presentations are held.
