Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art, in operation since 1973, has dedicated itself the expressions of progressive art, including the work of gay and lesbian artists. Although there are some excellent exhibits of fine art, popular art exhibits are not left out. The gallery caters largely to up-and-comers in various artistic disciplines and the purpose of this group is to further cultural expression. The gallery building is located in the historic Exchange District, so take in some history with the art.
