Aside from the half-mile (0.8-kilometer) race track, the facility also features party rooms, 18 holes of mini-golf, more than 100 arcade games, a cafe, and a full-service sports bar with televisions and pool tables. Advertising itself as having the "fastest indoor karts in Florida," Xtreme puts drivers behind the wheel of European Bowman Race Karts that gain speeds of up to 45 mile per hour (72 km per hour). Kids 8 and up can drive the less powerful Cadet Karts.
Bergeron Rodeo Grounds is one of Davie's major tourist destinations. This versatile arena with its indoor and outdoor facilities has been entertaining people for many decades now and thankfully shows no sign of stopping. Spread across 72,000 square feet (6689.02 square meters), it was initially founded as a rodeo arena however over the years has evolved into a multifaceted venue. Events such as concerts, monster truck shows, air boat spectacles, dog competitions, horse parades and more are regularly held here. It is also available for rent.
A part of Nova Southeastern University's Don Taft University Center, the Don Taft University Center Arena has a capacity of 4500. Although it is mainly used by the university's volleyball and basketball teams, the arena also makes a good venue for concerts, cheerleading competitions and the like. Food and beverages are available at the arena.
The Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino is located near Hallandale Beach, Florida. It is one of the popular places for horse racing in the country. They also house a casino, which is as popular as the racing track. Visitors are generally seen gambling or enjoying the varied delicious menu options at the restaurant. The park also hosts concerts and live performances for people to enjoy when visiting the racing track and casino.
Located in Cooper City, Brian Piccolo Park is for the avid bicycling and/or in-line skating fan. The park is named after a beloved Boward County athlete, who passed away at a young age. The Brian Piccolo Park features a challenging velodrome that you can use as well as a regular bicycle path. Tennis courts are also located on-site. If you do not have your own equipment, you can rent bicycles and in-line skates at the park. For those interested in learning more about either sport, lessons are available.
Previously known as BankAtlantic Center, The BB&T Center is an indoor arena that, apart from serving as the home of the Florida Panthers, also plays host to concerts and numerous other events throughout the year. Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Jonas Brothers, and Shakira are just some of the artists who have performed here in the past. The BB&T Center has restaurants and parking spaces on-site.
