Hospitality and warmth is what you will receive when you reach Carlos' Bistro as the chef/owner himself will walk you to the dining area. A local favorite, the restaurant is known for its fish and seafood among its regular visitors. Pan-seared marine lobster tail and fresh jumbo sea scallops are two of the delicious signature dishes the restaurant is famous for. For a great fine dining experience, do visit Carlos' Bistro.
Summit Lounge is a part of Summit, but is an attached lounge to the restaurant. As gorgeous as its bigger sister, it is complete with stylish touches of an interesting green, bar stools, LCD screens and comfy seats. IT is perfect for that aperitif with the boys or a drink after a dinner date. The wine menu here is impressive and the cocktails even more so, with signature cocktails like the Sparkling Summit, Mountain Mint Lemonade or the Caiparissima de Oro to name a few. Being a lounge, it mainly serves as a bar but to beat those little pangs of hunger, guests can enjoy "Small Plates" which are a sample tasting of the dinner menu. Sweet Potato and Pear Soup and Beer and Cheese Fondue are some of the specialties of the delicious fare. Opens everyday at 5pm.
This sophisticated looking bakery has become a landmark on busy Centennial Boulevard. Diners appreciate that there is a separate take-out area so as to eliminate the usual hurried bakery atmosphere. Sandwiches are a popular lunch item. Try a buttery, flaky croissant sandwich, and it will not matter which meat you choose—the croissant makes the sandwich all by itself. Daily chef specials include pasta and pizza. Dessert options are a sugar lover's dream. Buy a slice of carrot cake or take a whole one home. Also open for dinner.
If you had to select one restaurant in the area that combined superior setting, service and atmosphere without being snobbish, this "standing-ovation" of a restaurant would be it. Everything from the southwestern tiled floors to the adobe walled patio is drenched with care, making it resemble something one would expect to find in Santa Fe. The restaurant offers three ever-changing entrees, which usually include steak, seafood or southwestern fare. Saturdays feature chamber music. Reservations are strongly urged.
