The Crossing Golf Courses is a well-designed, moderately challenging golf course with 18 scenic holes, four sets of tees, and a signature island green 12th hole. Members and the general public are welcome to golf here, and are offered professional staff to assist in coordinating and scoring contests. The Crossing hosts tournaments, fund raisers, and personal events. Indoor seating has room for 40 people, while an outdoor pavilion seats 200.
This beautiful 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones opened in 1957, and is one of Durham’s outdoor highlights. The club has been the site of championship level play, and is routinely considered one of the top courses in North Carolina. Rates vary depending by day and time, and pull carts, gold cars, and clubs are available to rent. The course is part of the Washington Duke Inn, and golfers can expect to play with hotel guests alongside Duke University students and faculty.
Located along the scenic Falls Lake, TPC Wakefield Plantation is a 18-hole, par 71 golf course. The course was designed by three-time United States Open Champion, Hale Irwin. Finished in 2000, the course soon became part of the US Professional Golfers of America (PGA) Tour hosting the annual Rex Hospital Open. There is a club store to repair or buy the ideal club. Also on the premises is a clubhouse to relax and socialize over a meal after a round of golf. The club also accommodates private parties and conferences, and every detail of the event (from catering to seating and decorating) is seen to.
