If you’re looking for a wardrobe upgrade, then head to Galatea Boutique. This store occupies a former warehouse at the Seabord Station and features a great collection of womenswear. It gets its name from the story of a namesake sculpture meaning ideal woman. Opened in 2004, Holly Aiken creates practical, well-made bags with designs inspired by dime store aisles and vintage racing jackets. The bags have a retro feel, and are usually made with vinyl in a wide range of colors and styles. Stitch, the brick and mortar workshop where each bag is made, is located on the second floor of the store, and is open to the public. Custom-made bags are also available for purchase.
