Bungee jumping is one of the most popular and talked-about Whistler activities all year long. This is one of only two bungee jump zones in British Columbia, so take advantage of this thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity while in Whistler. Whistler Bungee is located eight kilometers (five miles) south of Function Junction. You jump from a pedestrian bridge that spans an awesome canyon while a whitewater river flows underneath. It's a 48-meter (160-foot) free-fall to the bottom. Jump, swan dive, flip, or simply hold your breath and go limp. Whistler Bungee operates a convenient shuttle bus for hotel pick ups, or you can drive to the site yourself, just 15 minutes south of Whistler Village. No reservations are necessary in the summer season for groups under ten. For special occasions, corporate rates, stag and stagette parties, or larger groups, accommodations can easily be made; please call for details.
For a biking experience like no other, visit Whistler Mountain Bike Park. Using the rough mountain terrain, the park's obstacle courses are completely natural and a challenge for even the most experienced biker. A lift takes you uphill so that you can zip downhill from the top through the rough undulating mountain terrain. The park has been divided into six different laps, each with a number of trails of varying difficulty levels. You can take a guide with you if you are unsure of the more difficult paths. A day spent here is guaranteed to be a day of fun and adventure.
Horstman Glacier is among the only two glaciers in the continent to offer snowboarding and skiing services during the summers. This popular glacier is set on the Blackcomb Peak and also features a training zone for national and international skiing and snowboarding teams. Get your adrenaline high as you glide through this iceberg or ski on its icy surface. The views, of course, are unparalleled, with sweeping views of the verdant valley interspersed with snow creating a majestic landscape.
