This downtown Naples performing arts theater brings classic shows and original creations to the people of Southwest Florida. From Mel Brooks to Tennessee Williams, the roster of plays and performances is definitely eclectic. In addition to shows, the theater also provides classes and workshops for people of all ages. Some of them include, Tech for Teens, Kids Act and The Naples Players Adult Education.
The Gulfshore Playhouse is where the entire county of Collier comes to get a slice of culture in Southwest Florida. The stage is known for its wide variety of productions, from Dickens' Christmas Carol to The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, the shows constantly rotate. Located on the grounds of the Artis - Naples center, Myra J. Daniels Pavilion is known for its intimate shows and performances. Myra J. Daniels Pavilion is a part of the eight-acre cultural campus and is used for a variety of programs including comedy shows, Lifelong Learning programs, and local theater. It's campus location allows patrons to dine at the Intermezzo Cafe, browse the on-site galleries or even peek into the museum, all before taking in one of their memorable performances.
The Artis--Naples Center is one of Southwest Florida’s premier visual and performance art centers, where it hosts hundreds of diverse events throughout the year. The sprawling campus is also home to the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra and the popular Baker Museum. The primary mission of the cultural center is to enlighten, educate and entertain people of all ages through a presentation of Southwest Florida's very best artists. The center was built in 1989 by architect Eugene Aubry and the centerpiece of the campus is the 1,425-seat Hayes Hall, which features a 2,956-sq. ft. stage. Artis--Naples also includes the Daniels Pavilion "black-box" theater which is suitable for chamber music, cabaret and other cultural happenings.
