The hot springs on Sunset Beach offer natural spring baths and swimming pools with the backdrop of stunning ocean scenery. There is an outdoor co-ed swimming pool area (swimsuits are required) that also leads to the beach, which is open during the warmer seasons. The indoor area is the typical Japanese onsen (hot spring) scene: you must remove your clothing and shower before you enter the water. The inside area has separate facilities for men and for women, and body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and other grooming goods are included with admission price. There is also a pool into which guests can stick their feet for a special treatment by fish who remove the dead skin cells as they nibble on your toes. Tattooed individuals are not permitted to enter the ChuLa-U onsen as customary with Japanese culture.
