Slagthuset is a venerable veteran of the Malmö club scene. It's less refined and stylish than many other options, but its authenticity is through the roof. Its clientele ranges from the teenage set to the middle-aged one (depending on the bands, of course) and the kitchen serves up no nonsense bar food. This is truly a must see for anyone interested in what the locals do of an evening.
If Malmo would have a centre for cultural activities, then Babel would be the place. This concert venue is spread over a huge area and brings to town some of the most entertaining and exemplary performances of known and unknown artists. Well-equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities, this concert venue also sports a well-stocked bar at the mezzanine level, while the upper floor is reserved for ongoing events. For hosting private functions, this place can also be rented.
Kulturbolaget is a haven for rock-n-roll aficionados! Having hosted many concerts, this place has a capacity to accommodate about 750 people and is very well equipped with top-of the-line equipment. Offering a variety of liquor and spirits, this venue also serves lip-smacking food. This place turns into a nightclub on weekends, when the Kulturbolaget gets crowded with fans of good music!
Located in the southeastern part of Malmö, the Inkonst aims to be the focus of all cultural activities in Scandinavia. This cultural center is housed in a building that was a former chocolate factory, and it still continues to spread sweetness in the neighborhood, but through art. Inkonst is the host of almost all culturally prominent events in the region, from classical music concerts, to film screenings and other such cultural events. On their premises, they have three venues where these events can be organized. The Teatern, or Theater, has 222 seats and has excellent sound and video equipment. The Klubben, or the Club, comes with soundmixers, microphones, equipment for DJs and even projectors. Please see the website for further information.
