Located in the historic Casablanca Inn, Tini Martini Bar is an intimate space that recalls scenes of Rick's Place in that movie named just like the hotel. The martini's are excellent and since they leave you with the shaker, it's basically a two-for-one night every night. The bar provides live jazz, blues and some of St. Augustine's finest local musicians to entertain audiences with creative renditions of classic covers. Even if you aren't a guest at the inn, you still can visit to enjoy the alfresco arrangement which lets you soak in views of the Matanzas River while you listen to sounds under the palm trees.
The Ice Plant is housed in a former ice factory that was built in 1927, where it still retains many of the original details of the original building. The cold concrete walls and exposed brick bar transport you back to the Roaring Twenties alongside craft cocktails made with care. The food menu runs the gamut depending on how hungry you are, from bar snacks and small plates to lunch and entrees. Most come for the cocktails however, where each one has interesting and innovative ingredients; some of which are only found fresh in St. Augustine like the Datil Pepper Tincture or the St. Augustine Distillery Cane Vodka.
At Gypsy Cab Company Bar & Grill the owners advertise "urban cuisine" to describe their modern preparations of primarily seafood, yet they still have poultry and steak selections which fit the bill as well. The kitchen also churns out amazing homemade soups like black bean or smoky sweet potato in addition to many others depending on the day. If you're staying in historic St. Augustine, the restaurant is ultra convenient because it's located just across the Bridge of Lions on Anastasia Boulevard.
