The Elizabeth Gamble Garden is a 2.5-acre (one hectare) property that includes a historic Victorian home, carriage house, tea house, a gazebo, and formal and demonstration gardens. The garden is home to fruit trees, a herb garden, several varieties of irises, perennials, roses, wisterias and a Mediterranean garden. If you come at just the right time of year, you may even see the garden at the peak of its cherry blossom season! Home gardening classes taught by master gardeners are offered throughout the year, and tours are available for groups of eight or more who call in advance; the property is also a popular site for weddings and wedding receptions. Admission is free to the public every day during daylight hours, though the office is only open during weekdays.

Everything in the store is eclectic and they have given a designer touch to your conventional house pins, chop sticks, plates, bowls, toasters, clocks, etc. The items on their racks are one-of-a-kind and become a great gift or conversation piece. You have to pass through Printers Cafe on California Avenue to visit the Gallery House in Old Palo Alto. Established in 1958, this gallery features the best works of contemporary art by local artists. Featuring permanent and temporary exhibitions of paintings, photographs, prints, sculptures and much more, all year round, Gallery House is operated by a tight community of artists from different parts of the Bay Area. Bryant Street Gallery offers for sale a variety of paintings, sculptures and photography by local Bay Area artists in addition to other American artists. They occasionally hold artists' receptions when new exhibits are installed so visitors can meet the artist. Even if you aren't in the market to purchase a work of art, visitors are welcome to just browse. The gallery also offers framing services.

The place has a clean and spacious studio where various classes are undertaken. In addition, the place has several free classes and you can also use the facility for practicing yoga at their open practice. Every yoga session at Samyama Yoga Center is spiritual and revitalizing. Their yoga studio is gorgeous, welcoming and serenely warm. The lounge area is dimly lit like almost aiming at calming your nerves, the studio is very spacious and can accommodate a large number of people per session and the statues of Indian gods greet you to a new experience. All of their yoga instructors are well trained and are known to help yogis in achieving seemingly difficult poses with ease and safety. At Samyama Yoga Center a new you is born.
Winter Lodge is the only permanent outdoor ice skating rink west of the Sierras and has been open since 1956. Open from September to April, the skating rink is a great holiday destination or weekend activity for kids and adults alike. There is one mid-sized outdoor rink and another, smaller rink indoors. Come by during the day for all-ages skating or come by at night for adults-only skating (perfect for a date). Inside the lodge, fireplaces and a hot chocolate vending machine provide a warm welcome to visitors. Skating lessons are also available.
The EcoCenter is managed by the Environmental Volunteers, a non-profit institution that spreads awareness about science and nature among the general public. Acting as the headquarters of this organization, the EcoCenter has been constructed using non-toxic and recycled material, green design principles and eco-friendly practices. This center has interactive exhibits and touchscreen displays through which visitors can learn about climate change, the sky and earth. It conducts tours of the building to educate visitors about sustainable methods of construction and maintenance and also conducts numerous summer camps, classroom and school programs. Boasting of some of the best educational activities in Palo Alto for kids and adults alike, the themes covered include bird watching, hiking, programs and lectures on nature art and natural sciences as well as research training in which visitors generate data that actually helps scientists. Nature lovers can also volunteer at this center or donate money to support its endeavors.
Alberto's is a Latin nightclub that offers salsa, tango, bachata, and more. Lessons are often available before the club opens, so beginners and the experienced alike can come to practice their moves.
