A historical neighborhood in the heart of Dresden, Innere Altstadt is one of the most-visited neighborhoods in the city. Part of the Altstadt I district, this entire neighborhood is dotted with hotels offering rooms for the large number of tourists visiting throughout the year. Many attractions like Frauenkirche, Zwinger, Semperoper and the Residenzschloss are situated in Innere Altstadt.

Also known as Antonstadt, Äußere Neustadt is the outer part of Neustadt. Known for the historical buildings and the beautiful narrow streets, this neighborhood is a must-visit. Äußere Neustadt is home to numerous lively bars and pubs which is visited by young people from across the city in large numbers. Südvorstadt is a neighborhood located to the south of Dresden, mainly known as the university area of the city. But the district is also home to a number of historical buildings with interesting architectural styles, the Feldschlößchen house being one of them. The Swiss, Bavarian and American quarters are worth a stroll as well, as one will find plenty of historic churches and cemeteries lined along the streets. This neighborhood is definitely worth a short visit if you are in Dresden.

Blasewitz is a beautiful and posh neighborhood in Dresden. Situated by the Elbe River, the main square of this neighborhood is Schillerplatz. This is the place to be if you wish to relish beer at a beautiful beer garden or if you wish to dine out at a wonderful restaurant. The many bistros, restaurants, cafes, and bars dotted on the streets of Blasewitz is a huge hit among locals and tourists.
