This theater was build in 1910 at the Goetheplatz in Bremen's center. The theater became famous in 1962 because of the new innovative work of director Kurt Hübners, who created a new way of theater productions, a so-called "Bremer style". In the nineties, the theater had some financial problems and it was on the verge of closing. Today, the house is connected with the urban opera, the dance theater, and the MOKS Bremen. It can hold a large number of people at once.
