This stadium opened in 1931 as the Prater Stadion. It was designed by the noted architect Otto Ernst Schweizer. It was later renamed the Ernst Happel Stadium, after the renowned Austrian football player and coach. With a capacity of 49825 seats, it is home to the Austrian National Football Team.
