Opened in 1973, Frankenmuth Historical Museum is located on the banks of Cass River. It is set in an old hotel that was built in the early-20th Century. This immersive museum gives us a peek into the history and development of the city of Frankenmuth. It showcases several old photographs, documents, tools, clothing and more. Located adjacent to the museum is the late-19th century Fischer Hall. This hall is used to host events and parties.
Established in 1987, Michigan Heroes Museum shares the history of the state’s war heroes. It also pays tribute to the state’s astronauts who dedicated their lives to NASA’s programs. The museum showcases hundreds of exhibits, including pictures, medals, uniforms, tools, documents, and many other personal items that belonged to these heroes. Just outside the museum, you will find several war memorials and exhibits like weapons, military tanks, and fighter aircraft.
