Damascus' claim-to-fame is the annual Trail Days festival that it hosts every year. This lovely small town in Washington County is home to a number of long trails that intersect within its tiny radius. Thanks to its trail network and the nearby Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, the town offers myriad outdoor recreational opportunities. Luray is located in the north of the Shenandoah Valley. It offers travelers with good weekend getaway options.
